New Job

I have been working for Salt Lake Co. for almost 3 years. I loved my job working in Prisoner Funds, but thought I would apply for a different position within the Co., honestly just to see if I could get it. And I did! I will now be working in the Civil Division. I'm very excited but a little scared. I will miss a lot of people that I work with. It's only right across the parking lot, but I will miss everyone just the same. I know that I can do the job, and I know that it will be a challenge. But thanks to everyone who has made this job a fun and interesting experience. I appreciate it TONS:)

Animal Abuse???

I was unloading some stuff from the car the other day and as soon as I opened the trunk Nakai hopped right in! I thought it was funny so I took this picture. But then I got to thinking "is your dad taking you for rides in the trunk or what?" I'm sure it looked pretty funny to the people driving passed the house.

My New Project

So I got this crazy idea that I could do those really neat letter perspective type photos. This is what I have so far. I'm working on getting all the letters in the alphabet. If anyone wants one of these I would be more then happy to do it. It might take me a minute. Let me know what you think. If it looks dumb I can take the criticism. But if you like than that is great! Trying to find some of the letters is really hard. But I think I can do it:)

When we are bored...

This is what happens when Scott leaves us in the car. We get totally bored and I start taking pictures! haha. I don't even remember what we were doing. I think we were going to the store and to Blockbuster.

Happy Mother's Day

I had to work today so honestly it just seemed like another day at the jail. If it weren't for the visitors telling us all Happy Mother's day I would probably not even notice. But Happy Mother's day to everyone that is a mom or will be one:) The kids made me cards (which were very cute), Ethen made me a cute flower pen and Marley gave me a carnation. It was a very sweet, mild day. I attempted to go out and weed the flower garden that is in the front of the house, but the kids told me to sit down and relax because it was Mother's day. Scott had to work overtime, which made me a little sad. It's my first official Mother's day, and I kind of feel weird. It's probably because I'm a step-mom. I know that really doesn't matter, but I feel like I don't deserve to celebrate it. Anyway, it's bedtime! Hope everyone had a wonderful day today!!!! Smoochies to all.

Getting in Shape part 2

Working out is really doing me well. I've lost so far 7 pounds (not bad for 6 weeks of working out). So that is about a pound a week. I've lost 2 inches on my waist, 1 inch on my hips and 1 1/2 inches on my thighs. Scott has lost about 22 pounds and I'm not sure how many inches. It's been really difficult, but I realize it's worth it. I've got so used to going to the gym 6 days a week that when we don't go I actually miss it. I don't really miss all the stuff I used to eat, but I do get a craving every once in a while for chocolate. I've also got a pair of goal jeans I'm going to buy. My goal weight is going to be between 135-150. I know that is a big range, but I don't want to narrow it down too much. Scott and I are just plugging away.

Photograph day!

So today we had family photo's taken. I'm really excited to see how they turn out. I'm sure we had some goofy ones. The woman that took the photos (Mary Clark) did an amazing job! Here is her website link so you can view the preview when she posts them. Hopefully that will be soon. The link is http://photographybydmc.blogspot.com/2008/05/parker-family.html. Hope you enjoy them!
