The Silverlime

Okay, my first blog about a store. I was looking at the Sweet Life in the Valley blog and ran across this necklace that i totally loved. So I hoped on over to the website. It's www.thesilverlime.com. It has the coolest necklaces and jewelry on it. Traci customizes it for you. Check her out! I got mine a few weeks ago and haven't taken it off since. I got my name and scotts name and the date we were married. I highly recommend one of her necklaces.

Need to post more...

I need to post more often! So I was thinking that maybe I can blog about books that i'm reading and maybe even cool shops on the etsy website. Will people actually read the blog more? If I put a book on here and you actually read it let me know what you think! Or if I give a shout out to a website I want to hear about that too. I would love to hear feedback from people:) Even if it's only the two or three people that actually read the blog:)

Wicked Sunday!!!

Scott and I went to see Wicked yesterday afternoon at the Capitol Theater. It was AMAZING! I've been waiting for so long to see this. I read the book about 8 or 9 years ago. When I heard that there were making a musical about it in 2003 I had to see it! It's the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I'm biased though because I have a huge Wizard of Oz obsession anyway. But this is all about my favorite character and she is the good guy! I never really cared for Dorothy much. For me it was always about the ruby slippers, the wicked witch, and the flying monkeys. Donna Vivino (Elphaba) and Katie Rose Clark (Glinda) did such an amazing, AMAZING job. I highly recommend this show to everyone. Scott even enjoyed himself. The visuals were stunning and the singing was unbelievable. It fed my Wizard of Oz addiction!

Spring Fever!

I have a serious case of spring fever. I'm so sick of the snow. I know, it's spring in Utah, but c'mon. I AM OVER IT! There are so many things I want to get out and do. I need to weed the front flower bed. And there are so many flowers and things I want to buy and plant. And I want to go fly fishing with Scott and go camping and JUST BE OUTSIDE!!!!!! Phew, I feel better now.

Twilight Mania on Friday!!!!

So I debated all day on Friday if I wanted to go to a Twilight DVD release party (I ordered mine off Amazon.com). With all the fan websites buzzing (including my favorite www.twilightmoms.com) about where the stars might go it made me want to check it out even more. I was on twilightmoms all day long and access hollywood to try and see which star was going to be in Salt Lake. At about 8 I saw that it would be Rachelle Lefevre (She plays Victoria and she is super beautiful!). Melanie and I decided we would go check it out (she had to do some shopping anyway, might as well head to wal-mart right??). It was CHAOS! People dressed up in their prom dresses with their red contacts. And tons of screaming pre-teens. We took Marley with us and she kept wondering what all the fuss was about. So I had to explain it to her a few times. We didn't stand in line to get an autograph, but we did get to see Rachelle. Melanie took a video and she took some pictures with my cell phone. You can't really see her on my phone, but hey, it's all good. We came, we saw, we shopped.
Here are some pictures. I circled where Rachelle is in them. One is super blurry. Sorry!!!

One more thing

I'm having a scentsy party at my house on Feb. 27th if anyone is interested. Let me know!

Turning the big 3-0

Has (or did) anyone else have issues with turning 30? I know that a lot of my friends from high school (and my sister-in-laws) will be turning 30 this year so I'm just curious about how everyone feels about that. I'm completely terrified! Scott thinks I'm lame for freaking out about it. But I remember when I was a little kid and 30 seemed so OLD! I know I have a few more months, but it's so surreal. It seems like just yesterday I was turning 21 and now I'm turning 30. Time has flown by!!!! I guess I'll have to turn my "things to do before i'm 30" list in to a "things to do before i'm 40" list.

Ice Fishing Pics

Here are the fishy photo's from all of our ice fishing excursions.

This is our little shelter that we fish in.
It's so cozy!

Ethen having a father/son day.

Marley decided it would be more fun to sled
then fish.

I hate this picture and my big fat noggin! But
check out the HUGE fish I caught??

This is the teeny fish Scott caught when I went
with him and caught the HUGE fish. Sad for him!

Brrrr...

Scott and I went ice fishing at Strawberry Res. on Sunday. It was so cold I could feel my nose hairs crystal over:) We had a little shelter with a heater in it, so that made it much more cozy. It was super slow fishing, but I did catch the biggest one of the day:) It was a 20 inch cutt throat. It was pretty. Scott caught 1 fish and I caught 2. Wish we had caught more, but the fish were just being stubborn. Scott read on one of his fly fishing forums that it was 27 below at 7:30 that morning at Strawberry. He said it was probably about 15 below when we got there at 10. I don't doubt it. I'll be posting pictures a little later.

It's Finally Over!

I love the holiday season, but I'm really glad it's over. It was pure chaos for the last month, and now it's over. I am such a slacker, I didn't take any Christsmas photo's! December was a busy month. We spent Christmas Eve with Scott's family and had pizza and opened presents. Then we went to my Aunt Annette's house in Holladay on Christmas morning for breakfast and then we had Christmas dinner at our house with my mom and her boyfriend Don. Ethen and Marley spent Christmas morning with their mom and we got them back in the evening. There were a lot of gifts for us as a family (Yahtzee, Clue, Cranium and a bunch of DVD's) which included an Xbox 360. We got Shrek the Third and Shawn White's Snowboard game (that one is super fun!!!!). Don brought RockBand 2 with him and I have to say I am HOOKED! That game is so much fun. New Years Eve was pretty mellow. Marley stayed at a friends house and Ethen and I watched Elf and had popcorn and ice cream:) Scott had the misfortune of having to work on New Years, but what can you do! The Jail doesn't close for the holidays. At least we all got to be together for Christmas. I hope that this New Year brings a lot of wonderful things to people. I think it's going to be an interesting year. The next on our family's agenda...Disneyland in June!!! I hope everyone is well and had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
